Really nice. love that it's Edward Norton. Few questions. It was modeled from zspheres correct? and second how'd you do the hair. I'm guessing planes with opacity maps. Thanks alot I've only been doing 3D for a year so I'm trying to get as much info as i can.
hey! yeah everything you see was zbrushed from a simple basemesh i created in 3ds max. when it was done, i decimated (using decimation master) the highrez zbrush version, imported it in 3ds max and used the plugin "max retopo" to create a clean lowrez mesh over the decimated highrez. finally i baked a normal map with Xnormal (zbrush highrez projected over the lowrez) and tadaaa! i just needed to texture it at this point.
it looked like nothing! i made myself a model sheet and tried Zack Petroc's workflow where he builds a basemesh with no shape at all and with only the good length and proportion of the main members (arms, fingers, head, body, legs, etc). you should take a look its interesting!
